The heart behind the show
When I’m laughing I feel less afraid, and when I hear stories I feel less alone.
When we tell our embarrassing stories, others always join and share their own. When we tell our vulnerable stories, others feel safe enough to share theirs too.
Paul says in 1 Timothy 1:15-16 that Christ didn’t just save him for his own sake but so his life could be an example to others. Stories are a way to be an example.
Sharing our stories can help give others the language to understand their own stories, or the stories of someone they care about.
Who is the show for?
For anyone who needs a fun night out to laugh.
For anyone who’s felt lost in their struggle with their mental health.
For those who care for someone who has struggled with their mental health.
While the material is clean, we recommend 15 years and older. That’s not set in stone. No one’s checking ID’s at the door. The show does deal with heavier themes at points and might not be something some 7th graders would have the patience/maturity for.
For anyone inside or outside the church. You don’t have to be a Christian to find these stories funny. It’s less “Christian comedy” and more “comedy written and performed by a Christian.”
conversations around suicide prevention
The show touches on topics like mental health, depression, and suicide, which could open the door for deeper conversations with the people you bring.
